SCHOOL STRIKE 4 CLIMATE MARCH
School Strike 4 Climate March
An adventure for our eldest Primary and Middle School learners in support of climate justice.
In March, our older primary and middle school learners stepped beyond the boundaries of the classroom to participate in the School Strike 4 Climate in New Plymouth. Armed with a burning passion for the planet and homemade protest signs, they took a stand for climate justice, engaging in meaningful conversations with local government representatives. They posed pressing questions, offered insightful suggestions, and most importantly, made sure their young voices echoed in the corridors of power. This empowering experience not only enlightened our students about the importance of civic participation, but also asserted the significance of youth voices in shaping a climate-resilient future. A day of advocacy for change turned into a lasting lesson on the power of youth, reminding us that age is not a barrier in championing what truly matters - our environment.
