Interested in a short family getaway?
Green Camp NZ offers a unique opportunity for your family to connect with each other and like-minded families from around the world through a casual, Kiwi camping experience at Green School New Zealand.
If you’re curious to know more about a Green School education, this two-night summer camp will see you witness some of the fun and learning that happens on campus, every day.
At Green Camp, your family will:
take part in the laying of a traditional hangi feast
immerse yourself in a rich cultural experience
enjoy river activities, learning opportunities, nature walks, wellbeing sessions, and campfire cooking and connection
camp together beside the beautiful Ōākura- Matapu river (awa)

Cost: $450pp (under 4s are free of charge when coming with a sibling)
Cost includes accommodation, all meals, and workshops/activities. All proceeds will go to the Green School Charitable Trust, helping future changemakers experience a Green School education.
*Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Aotearoa Experience
Waimangu Volcanic Valley Tour
This half-day geothermal experience completely immerses you in the unique environment of Waimangu Volcanic Valley. Unique, self-guided walking and hiking trails and a boat cruise will ensure you see New Zealand’s wonderful bird and plant life, while experience Kiwi culture and history.
Huka Honey Store
Huka Honey Hive offers a self-guided experience where visitors are introduced to all things honey and bees. Both indoor and outdoor, you can wander through beautiful gardens, introduce yourself to obees and are provided the opportunity to try our huge range of premium New Zealand honeys, mead and honey-based skincare products for free.
Scenic Cruise Lake Taupo to Maori Rock Carvings
Appreciate the culture, craftsmanship and beautiful views of Taupo while cruising Lake Taupo’s bays. The journey is 90 minutes with an extended viewing time and education commentary of the region, history and cultural significance of the carvings themselves.
Orakei Korako Geyserland Tour
Enjoy a short ferry trip across the lake from the Orakei Korako Visitor Centre to this geothermal attraction, valley and cave.
Here you can experience all the wonders of the geysers and pools on offer at this amazing place.
Huka Falls Jet Tour
The exhilarating power of the Huka Falls Jet is an experience you will never forget. You’ll marvel at the incredible water-level views of the spectacular Huka Falls as you slide past cliffs and trees at an incredible 80km an hour in one of our state of the art jet boats.
Spellbound Glowworm and Cave Tour

Hobbiton Movie Set Tour
In 1988, Sir Peter Jackson’s team of location scouts were searching for the iconic rolling hills and lush green pastures off Hobbiton.
An aerial search led them to the Alexander farm, a stunning 1.250 acre sheep farm in the heart of the Waikato.
It now comprises 44 permanent Hobit HOles, as left by the movie set, a Green Dragon Inn and the Hobbit Southfarthing Range where you can experience a refreshing beverage.
Auckland Zoo
Auckland Zoo is home to at least 130 different species, over 2800 animals and has the largest diversity of wildlife in Aotearoa, New Zealand!
Sky Tower
Located within Auckland’s CBD, the SKy Tower is 328 metres (1,076 ft) tall, as measured from ground level to the top of the mast, making it the second tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere. Take a trip to the top and experience the best view of Auckland and beyond!
All Blacks® Experience
Your time at the All Blacks® Experience will include a 45 minute guided tour where you learn what it takes to make, shape and be an All Black. This will include learning the story and feeling the passion behind the All Blacks® haka, up close and personal. You can then test your rugby skills against All Blacks® and Black Ferns® in our hands-on interactive zone.
SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s Aquarium
SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s Aquarium showcases over 30 live animal exhibits in spectacular habitat displays, including the world’s largest Sub-Antarctic penguin colony exhibit and amazing underwater viewing tunnels.
