Friday Kapa Haka

Kapa Haka & Shared Kai Fridays

As part of the Green School community you are welcome to join us every Friday, joining in with the; Senior High School, Warriors of the Earth, Guardians of the Earth*, join our Māori teacher in singing our school waiata (school song) and practice our Te ao and te reo Māori from our kapa haka programme.

If you are a care givier for a Guardians of the Earth Learner there is a ‘Shared Kai Fridays’ picnic after in their classrooms.

Come see for your self our unique learning experience which offers;

  • small class sizes that ensure your child is seen and heard

  • a student-guided approach to learning centred around your child’s passions

  • a school philosophy that inspires learners to create positive, sustainable change

  • nature-based learning experiences

  • innovative and inspiring campus buildings and environment

  • 406 Koru Rd, Koru

    Upon entering the GSNZ driveway, there is a parking field to your right.

  • Whilst the majority of our campus is wheelchair friendly, especially among the learning spaces, there are areas of our grounds that can get a little rugged. Please keep that in mind when considering where to go exploring.

  • Footwear - Our campus is raw, organic and can get a little wild so please wear comfortable footwear that you don’t mind getting muddy during a nature wander around campus.

    Shade - When the sun is out there’s no missing it, please bring along a hat for yourself and the children.

    Water - There will be plenty of walking and talking, so bring along a water bottle (we encourage reusable) to help with the hydration.

    An open mind - the GSNZ experience will be one for the books if you let it. Open your mind and fully immerse yourself in the magic and world of possibility that is Green School.
