Middle School

YEAR 7 – 8

The Middle School programme gives students a choice, while maintaining a firm grounding in foundational subjects. Students are able to choose their own arts, PE and English literacy courses, empowering, supporting and challenging them to take control of their own learning programme.

Throughout the Middle School years, we focus on developing students’ critical thinking skills – to question, challenge and seek to discover answers and solutions for themselves. The programme is structured and delivered in order to leverage the natural desire of this age group to become independent thinkers, to work with friends and peers, and to discover rather than to be told. This truly unique and progressive programme retains an absolute focus on the social and emotional development of children at this exciting and important age and stage.

A significant part of our Middle School programme is our Quest initiative, where learners are encouraged to identify an issue they have become aware of, and create a solution to that problem. Learners are mentored through this assignment where they are asked to research, plan, execute, deliver and then reflect on what they have achieved. View the video below with Whaea Charlie for more details on our Quest Programme.

Primary

In the primary years, our school architecture inspires students to connect with the environment, chase adventure and pursue their passions.

High School

Our high school programme emphasises empowering students to make their own choices in a mutually-respectful way with their teachers. We believe in honouring each student to be their best self.

Specialisation

While the Green School curriculum encompasses all the foundational subjects, our flagship programmes are prominent for students of all ages and year levels.
