At Green School New Zealand, Puanga signifies our responsibility for protecting and participating in te ao Māori.  We give it value and presence within our curriculum as it enriches our efforts in community sustainability.
On Wednesday we celebrated Puanga as part of the many Matariki festivities happening around Aotearoa, to signify the Māori New Year. It’s a special time to celebrate and honour our connections to each other, the environment, our communities, and honour our loved ones who have passed on.
